(+) Motor Vehicle Tax hike to be revised down Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag stated that the 40% Motor Vehicle Tax hike will be revised down after the assessments of President Erdogan and various parties. Bozdag said that the revision was discussed and decided in the Cabinet meeting and new hike is planned to be at reasonable levels but he did not mention what this level could be. Yet, there are reports that the new hike could be 25-40% bracket compared to initial plan of 45-68%. The news is relatively positive for car owners and sales of new passenger cars. However, the cost of buying and owning passenger cars are increasing every year with additional tax hikes.

MTV zammı aşağı çekilecek Başbakan Yardımcısı Bekir Bozdağ Motorlu Taşıtlar Vergisine yapılması planlanan %40 zammın Bakanlar Kurulu’nda görüşüldüğünü ve makul bir rakama çekilmesi konusunda karar alındığını belirtti. Bu makul seviyenin ne olduğu belirtilmezken, bazı haberlerde %40-68 olarak düşünülen vergi artış aralığının %25-40 seviyesine düşürülebileceği belirtildi. Haber araç sahipleri ve yeni araç alımları için göreceli olarak pozitif.
