(=) Reportedly, electricity tariff regulation will be changed by April-period Accordingly, the authority will not disclose any special tariffs for industrial customers. Note that it has been already expected in the market and its market implication should be neutral. To be more specific, the industrial customers are encouraged to make all electricity procurement from retail companies instead of the state’s company which has been incentivizing the industries with lower prices relative to other customer segments. Net/net, new tariffs theoretically  pave a way for better margins to retail companies (such as Enerjisa), and higher electricity costs for the industrial companies. However, based on our discussions with the sector players, our understanding is that the electricity prices for industrials have not been highly upwardly adjusted by the retail companies due to high competition in the market. Accordingly, we do not expect any material impact on the retail companies’ profitability at least for 2018, while the new period hints for a better operating environment in the long-run.
