(+) Kardemir sold 612k tonnes of products in 2Q17 / Positive The company announced that it produced 1,222mn tonnes of liquid steel while having made 1,186mn tonnes of steel product steels in 1H17. This implies 612k tonnes of sales in 2Q17, up by 28% on YoY basis and 7% on QoQ basis. This is also 6% higher than the company’s quarterly projection of 578k tonnes. Strong sales figure should lead to further upward adjustments to 2Q17 expectations which were already expected to be strong on the back of favorable operating environment . Accordingly, we deem it positive for the stock performance while earnings season is nearing.
