Otokar/Aselsan: Altay tank project reportedly in today's Defense Industry Executive Committee's agenda It is reported that Defense Industry Executive Committee (SSİK) will convene today in the lead of President Erdogan. It is also reported that serial production of Altay tank is in the agenda of the committee. As it will be recalled; Otokar, FNSS and BMC have bid their best and last offers in February for the serial production tender of Altay tank. Additionally, daily Dunya reported that Altay tank project has recently been added to the new large incentive package that is expected to be announced next week. If true, this also strengthens the probability that a decision may be given regarding the Altay tank project in today’s Defense Industry Executive Committee. While Otokar is one of the three bidders in the project, Aselsan will also receive development contract regardless of who the winner is. Aselsan is expected to be granted USD3.0mn contract per each tank.

Altay tankı projesinin bugünkü toplanacak SSİK gündemine alındığı belirtiliyor. Savunma Sanayi İcra Komitesi’nin bugün Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan liderliğinde toplanması bekleniyor. Basında yer alan haberlere göre, Altay projesi ile ilgili karar da bu toplantıda verilecek. Dunya Gazetesi’nin haberine göre de Altay tankı projesi önümüzdeki hafta açıklanması beklenen teşvik paketine eklendi. Hatırlanacağı üzere Otokar, FNSS ve BMC Altay tankı projesi için en iyi ve son tekliflerini Şubat ayında vermişti. Aselsan da kontratı kimin kazandığına bağlı olmaksızın bir geliştirme kontratı kazanacak. Aselsan’ın tank başına 3 milyon dolar kontrat alması bekleniyor.
