As a result, foreign trade deficit in October increased to USD2.4bn from USD1.8bn same a month a year ago. However, excluding the energy imports, the trade deficit would have risen by USD1.8bn. In fact, excluding energy imports which were weighted down by much lower unit prices, imports would have risen by at least 18% YoY. In the meantime, exports excluding gold exports, exports growth would only a be a couple percentages.
